ifilm to reoffer ‘The Sound of Rain’

‘The Sound of Rain’ series is to make a return to ifilm English from this Friday.

The first episode of the show directed by Hossein Soheilizadeh will hit the air at 18:00 GMT on Saturday July 24. Each episode will be telecast again the next day after original screening three times at 00:00, 09:00 and 15:00 all GMT times.

A brief synopsis for the flick reads, “Taha’s a successful businessman and a widower living with his five-year-old daughter. On a business trip to Turkey, he gets framed for smuggling drugs and sentenced to life in prison, so he entrusts everything he has got, including his daughter, to his nephew. After twenty years, Taha gets released and comes back home, but things are not exactly as he had left them, and he soon realizes he may have put his trust in the wrong people”.

The cast lest of ‘The Sound of Rain’ includes, Azadeh Zarei, Sorayya Qasemi, Mehran Ahmadi, Siavash Kheirabi, Sam Derakhshani, Sepideh Khodaverdi and Hamid-Reza Pegah.

Th0 40-episode series will be replacing ‘Like a Mother’ directed by Javad Afshar.
